- First you need to have OS 5 on your device (iPhone, iPad, iPod touch) to use iCloud. You do this by connecting your device to your computer then follow the instructions in iTunes.
- Turn on iCloud by going to Settings on the Home screen and click on iCloud.
- Enter the Apple ID and Password and click Done.
- The next step is adapting the services (such as Mail, Documents, Calendars, Photo stream) that you want to sync automatically, by clicking on the On/Off switches.
- Click on Storage & Backup and switch On at iCloud backup.

- To automatically receive downloads of music, apps and books, click on Settings on the Home screen and select Store.
- Then click On or Off, depending on what you want to automatically be downloaded.
