It is easy to set how the contact list is sorted in Outlook.

This is what you do:

1. Click on View.

2. Click on View settings.

3. Click on Sort.

4. Click on the arrows, followed by the sort order you require.

5. Select Ascending or Descending.

6. Click on OK when you have finished.

7. Click on OK followed by OK again.

Your contacts have now been sorted according to the options you selected.

The guide is useless for finding the answer to my question. All I want to do is change the alphabetization in the contact list in the address book. After installation of Outlook 2010, the alphabetization is by first name only, a ver primitive way to sort. the directions in access guide provide a menu that does not appear in my fostware. What a waste.
