It is easy to set how the contact list is sorted in Outlook.
This is what you do:
1. Click on View.
2. Click on View settings.
3. Click on Sort.
4. Click on the arrows, followed by the sort order you require.
5. Select Ascending or Descending.
6. Click on OK when you have finished.
7. Click on OK followed by OK again.
Your contacts have now been sorted according to the options you selected.
