Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 is a program which works as an e-mail client and calendar. Microsoft Outlook can be used as an independent program or can be linked to Microsoft Exchange Server and Microsoft SharePoint Server. Microsoft Outlook can be used to send and receive e-mail messages which can be saved to folders. Scheduling in the calendar allows users to book appointments with one another and to set meetings for the most appropriate times. Users can use Contacts to organise their staff and other recipients into groups or lists. Microsoft Office Outlook 2007 includes a completely new graphical user interface which uses tabs instead of a menu bar and toolbars known as ribbons.
